Sam Sharp captured three events at the Truman State Bulldogs High School Classic. Sharp won the 800 (2:35.87), 1600 (5:42.04), and 3200 (11:56.33) runs for the Lady Dogs.
Breckin Thudium topped the podium with a throw of 28.8 meters in the discus, and was 4th in shot. Piper Thudium was 2nd in the long jump and 12th in the 100, and Holly Sensenich was 6th in the 400, 10th in triple jump, and 18th in the 200. Madalynn Williams was 7th in the 400, 9th in high jump, and 12th in triple jump, and Lexi Littrell was 16th in the 200. Many events, particularly the sprints, featured large fields from 13 participating schools. The 4x100 and 4x200 Lady Dogs relay teams were 5th. Bridger Grimshaw was 2nd in pole vault, and 4th in the 400, and Van Duncan was 2nd in the 110 hurdles, 6th in pole vault, and 10th in the 300 hurdles. Calvin Varner was 3rd in the 1600, and 8th in the 800, while Landon Stufflebean and Kameron Perry were 4th in the 3200 and triple jump, respectively. Makky Kerns was 4th in discus, and 6th in shot. Dammian Glasgow was 5th in the 200; Alex Baldwin was 6th in the 1600; Henry Looney was 8th in shot; Wyatt Garber was 10th in triple jump; and Ryder Cochenour was 13th in the 400. The 4x200 relay team was 3rd, and the 4x100 and 4x400 squads both finished 4th for the Bulldogs. -- Dennis Hughes

Brookfield finished third in the small division bracket at the Moberly Invitational.
Hayden DeJong fired an 89, tying for 8th in the individual results, to pace the Bulldogs, who finished with a team score of 364. Brock McLaury shot a 91, and Devan Parn and Colton Pfeifer both shot 92. Weston Linscott (BB) and Brayden Shoop (SB) collected the only hits for the Bulldogs, while Ross Ehrich, Dammian Glasgow and Jace Keller each worked a walk. Shoop started on the mound and gave up just one earned run on six hits and five walks. He fanned five batters. The Bulldogs were held hitless and struck out 18 times. Trayce Switzer was the only Brookfield player not to strike out, putting the ball in play twice and walking. Switzer, who also had a stolen base, started a triple play, one of the few bright spots for the Bulldogs (2-4).
Riley Hinckle, who was the only other Dogs' base runner (reached on an error), started on the mound and allowed just one earned run on 5 hits, while striking out 7. Brayden Shoop pitched in relief, allowing 5 runs on 5 hits, and fanning 4. -- Dennis Hughes Brookfield flooded the podium with outstanding performers at the Southwestern Livingston County Invitational.
Sam Sharp dominated the 800 (2:23.8), 1600 (5:40.9) and 3200 (12:31.7) runs with gold medal performances, while Maggie Bennett cleared the field, winning the 100 hurdles in 18.04. Bennett was also 2nd in the 300 hurdles for the Lady Dogs. The 4x100 (56.44) and 4x200 (2:00.1) relay teams finished first, as well. Haven Stufflebean was 2nd in the javelin; Piper Thudium was 2nd in the 100 and 3rd in the long jump; and Clara Hoyt was 2nd in the 1600 and 3200, and 4th in the 800. Emree Littrell was 3rd in the 100; Breckin Thudium was 3rd in shot put; and Holly Sensenich was 3rd in the 400, 4th in long jump, and 6th in the 200 and high jump. Lexi Littrell was 4th in the 200; and Madalynn Williams was 4th in the 400, 5th in high jump and 5th in triple jump for the Lady Dogs. The 4x100 (47.24), 4x200 (1:39.5) and 4x400 (3:55.8) relay teams each captured gold for the Bulldogs. The 4x800 squad came home in 2nd. Coldon Parrent was 2nd in the 100, while Bridger Grimshaw was 2nd in the 200 and 3rd in the 400. Alex Baldwin placed 3rd in the 3200 and was 5th in the 1600. Aidden Buckner (100), Kameron Perry (400, triple jump) Calvin Varner (1600), and Makky Kerns (discus) each finished 4th in their respective events.
