Brookfield defeated the Thunder, 6-1, in Friday's JV baseball action.
After an uneventful first inning, the Thunder opened the second with a double and a walk. However, Gage Ludington slammed the door with three straight strikeouts. Ross Ehrich led off the bottom of the 2nd with a single to center. He then stole second, went to third on a passed ball and scored on Dayton Glasgow's ground out. Phoenix Jordan reached on a dropped third strike, and with two outs, Noah Williams walked. Jordan and Williams followed with stolen bases, and Jordan stole home on the next pitch. Nathan Schoeneberg walked, and Nick Sharp's RBI single plated Williams for the Bulldogs' third run. The Thunder managed a run in the third, but the Bulldogs scored three more in the bottom of the frame. Ludington led off with a double to center, and Davis scored him with an RBI double to left. Weston Linscott scored Davis with a single to right, and Ehrich moved him to third with a base hit to right. Glasgow's single plated Linscott for the final run. Ehrich (run, SB) led the Bulldogs with two hits, while Ludington (2B, run), Davis (2B, RBI, run, BB), Linscott (RBI, run), Glasgow (2 RBI) and Nick Sharp (RBI) each had a hit. Jordan (2 SB) and Williams (BB, SB) scored a run apiece. Schoeneberg coaxed a walk. Ludington earned the win, pitching three innings and allowing no earned runs on two hits and a walk.
