Gage Ludington drove in the tying run and scored the winning run on an error, as Brookfield upended Palmyra, 4-3, in JV baseball action. It was the Bulldogs fifth straight win.
Palmyra got on the board with a first-inning RBI double. The Bulldogs failed to score in the first, but scored twice in the second. Dayten Glasgow and Phoenix Jordan both singled. Chaos then ensued when Glasgow stole third and Jordan stole second. A throwing error scored Glasgow, and a balk plated Jordan, and the Bulldogs led 2-1. The Panthers answered with two runs in the top of the third, but Brookfield answered. Nick Sharp led off with a walk and stole second. Ludington singled to left, driving in Sharp, and wound up on third on a two-base error. He later scored on another error. Westen Davis, Glasgow (SB, run), Jordan (SB, run) and Ludington (RBI, run) each had a hit. Sharp (SB) scored a run, and Ross Ehrich reached on a hit by pitch.
