Vann Duncan continued his dominance in the 100 hurdles, and Brookfield's girls won the 800 meter sprint medley relay at Thursday's Putnam County Middle School Relays.
Duncan, who was also 5th in pole vault (1.8m) won the 100 hurdles in 18:06, while the girls finished the medley relay in 2:16.93 with windy conditions and a field consisting of 13 schools. The sprint medley relay is an event that features two 100-meter legs, one 200-meter leg and a closing 400-meter leg. Deacon Brown (triple jump - 8.82m) and Lewis Defries (1600 - 6:04.02) were each third in their respective events. The 4x400 (4;53.15) and 800 sprint medley (2:09.13) relay teams were also 3rd, while the 4x100 relay team was 4th (54.82). Ronnie Sharp was 5th in the high jump (1.35m), and the 4x200 relay team was 6th (2:03.39). Ryder Cochenour was 7th in 100 (13.41) and 400 (1:04.56). Emmet Haley was 7th in the discus (25.47) and 8th in the shot (9.42m). Defries was 8th in the 800 (2:47.26, and Brown (long jump - 4.22m) and Jaxon Sibley (100 - 13.48) were 9th. In the girls meet, Shayne Lumsden was 2nd in the shot put (8.86m) and 3rd in the discus (19.26m), and Piper Thudium was 3rd in the long jump (3.8m). Payslie Alexander (long - 3.79m) and Taryn Montgomery (discus - 17.94) were 4th, and Rozlyn Severa was 4th in the 800 (3:06.03) and 6th in the 1600 (6:55.19). The 4x200 (2:09.36) and 4x400 (5:14.09) relay teams were fifth, and the 4x100 team was 8th (1:02.85). Makenna Munsterman was 6th in shot (8.57m) and 9th in discus (17.15m). Holly Sensenich was 9th in triple jump (7.8m) and 10th in the 400 (1:16.36). Natalie Lovenduski was 9th in the 1600 (7:20.71). The Bulldogs host the Brookfield Middle School Relays on Monday.
