Bulldogs MS Track & Field

Payslie Alexander and Ryder Cochenour each contributed half of Brookfield's total team points in Wednesday's Macon Middle School Tiger Open. The Bulldogs competed against Highland, Kirksville, Marceline and the host, Macon.

Alexander won the 100 meter dash in 13.7 and was 3rd in the long jump with a leap of12'07.25, collecting 16 team points. She also was part of the 4x100 relay team (with Lexi Littrell, Piper Thudium and Dylan Parn), which was 3rd (58.85) and earned six points.

Littrell was fourth in the 200 (30.3) for four points and helped with eight additional points in the 4x100 relay (3rd) and 4x200 relay (5th, 2:06.67) with teammates Thudium, Parn and Holly Sensenich.
Sensenich finished 4th, earning four points, in the triple jump with a jump of 26'01.

Shayne Lumsden earned 10 points with a second-place finish in the shot (30'00.75) and was 5th in discus (56'11).
Rozlyn Severa claimed a point in the 1600 meter run, finishing 6th in 7:06.92.

Severa (9th, 800; 10th, high jump), Sensenich (9th, 400), Madalynn Williams (7th, 100; 10th, 400), Jayden Britton (8th, 100), Natalie Lovenduski 9th, high jump; 10th, 1600), Taryn Montgomery (10th, discus) and Kailyn Miller (10th, shot) all finished in the top 10 of their respective events.

Kaylee VanWagoner (11th, 1600), Makenna Munsterman (11th, shot) and Ugochi Chukwu (14th, discus) also performed at the meet.

In the boys' meet, Cochenour recorded 22 points with top-4 performances in the long jump (2nd, 15'), 400 (3rd, 1:02.74), 100 (4th, 13.32) and 200 (4th, 27.23).

Vann Duncan garnered eight points in his 2nd-place finish in the 100 meter hurdles (14.76).  Lewis Defries was 4th in the 1600 (5:55.01) and 6th in the 800 (2.54.82), while Deacon Brown was 4th in triple jump (28'02) and 6th in high jump (4'9) for five points each. 

Ronnie Sharp was 4th in discus (88'11) for four points, and Jaxon Sibley added a point with his 6th in the 400 (1:05.39).
Brown (7th, 400), Sibley (7th, 200; 8th, 100) and Duncan (8th, pole vault) had top-10 results in other events.

Conner Allen (14th, 100), Sawyer Hoermann (12th, 1600), Emmet Haley (11th, discus), Aiden Glasgow (13th, discus), Lucas Long (18th, discus) and Owen Sharp (20th, shot) also performed at the meet.

The Bulldogs next compete in following Thursday's Brookfield Middle School Open #1.
