Brookfield snapped a six-game losing streak, blasting South Shelby, 18-3, in Wednesday's varsity baseball action.
Assisted by 15 walks, the Bulldogs scored eight runs in the first inning and ended the game with seven runs in the third. Bryson Shoop (2B, 3 RBI, 2 runs, SB), Colton Parn (2B, 2 RBI, 2 runs, 2 BB, SB), Trayce Switzer (2 RBI, 2 runs, 2BB, HBP), and Ross Ehrich (RBI, 3 runs, BB, HBP, SB) each had a hit for the Bulldogs. Hank Parks (run), Riley Hinckle (2 runs) and Ryder Techau (2 runs) each had an RBI and two walks, while Peyton Parn and Garret Wood each had two free passes and scored twice. Colton Parn pitched three innings for the win, allowing two earned runs on two hits and five walks. He struck out six. The Bulldogs host Macon today. Story by: Dennis Hughes
