Kendrell Carter scored three touchdowns, leading Brookfield to a 46-0 victory in its varsity football home-opener against Maysville. Carter rushed for 143 yards on 16 carries, pacing a Bulldogs' ground attack of 233 yards. Coldon Parrent ran for 65 yards and a TD (a second score of 52 yards was negated by a penalty), while Devan Parn chipped in a five-yard TD. Trayce Switzer added 167 yards on 12-of-16 passing, and tossed a TD to Hayden DeJong (2 receptions for 39 yards). Switzer also ran for 20 yards. Kameron Perry led the 'Dogs with 50 yards receiving on three catches, and Peyton Parn had 44 yards on four receptions. Siope Pulu added two catches for 37 yards. The Bulldogs' defense excelled for the second straight week, pitching a shutout and limiting the Wolverines to less than 100 yards of total offense. Story by: Dennis Hughes
