My name is Cathy Carlson and I am the Brookfield R-III High School Guidance Counselor.  Please allow this site to be a useful tool to find out information regarding a range of activities and opportunities available to high school students.  The listing on the left-hand side of this page will hopefully guide you to the area of your interest and will show you the details of those topics.  If you have any questions regarding the content of this website or if you have questions regarding your high school student specifically, please do not hesitate to contact me in any of the following ways:

Scholarships

Seniors

New information as of 11/01/2018!  Please click the following link to  the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (also known as DESE) to find information annually compiled from the Department of Economic Development that identifies  occupations in which there is a critical shortage.  This purpose of this website is to make known, to high school graduates and others looking for a career path, information related to the current year's labor shortage.  The link is as follows:

Attention Seniors and Parents/Guardians of Seniors!

Please encourage your senior to stop in the BHS Guidance Office, which is located in the BHS High School Office.  Students will have access to the following types of information:

  • Most current scholarship information

  • Other financial aid information

  • Military information for all branches

  • ACT Information (including online registration flyers, paper registration packets & practice booklets)

  • SAT Information

  • ASVAB Information

  • College/University Presentation Sign-up book (for when representatives visit BHS)

  • College Day Request Forms and College Day Permission Forms (for when students visit college, university and technical school campuses)

  • High School Transcript Request Forms

  • A+ Program Participation Agreement Form

  • A+ Program Time Recording Form

  • A+ Program Intent to Use Form

  • Material on various colleges/universities/technical schools, career choices, majors (areas of study)

  • Maps with the locations and contact information of Missouri colleges/universities/technical schools

Juniors

Attention Juniors and Parents/Guardians of Juniors!

Please encourage your junior to stop in the BHS Guidance Office, which is located in the BHS High School Office.  Students will have access to the following types of information:

Please stop by the Student/Parent Drop-In Center which is directly connected to the High School Guidance Office.  The Student/Parent Drop-In Center is a room where students and their parents/guardians may come to find the following types of information:
