Ashlyn Calvert’s Big Day Propels Brookfield Varsity LadyDogs Past Clark County Varsity Lady Indians

Ashlyn Calvert drove in four runs on three hits to lead Brookfield Varsity LadyDogs past Clark County Varsity Lady Indians 15-12 on Saturday at TBD. Calvert singled in the fourth scoring two, singled in the first scoring one, and singled in the second scoring one.

Both offenses were strong at the plate as Brookfield Varsity LadyDogs collected 11 hits and Clark County Varsity Lady Indians 12 in the high-scoring affair.

Brookfield Varsity LadyDogs opened the scoring in the bottom of the first thanks to three singles. Brookfield Varsity LadyDogs first got on the board when Calvert singled, scoring one run.

Clark County Varsity Lady Indians flipped the game on its head in the top of the second, scoring five runs on four hits to take the lead, 5-3. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Amellia Fox that drove in two.

Brookfield Varsity LadyDogs flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the fourth, scoring eight runs on three hits to take the lead, 15-8. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Emree Littrell that drove in two.

Calvert earned the win for Brookfield Varsity LadyDogs. The righty surrendered 12 hits and 12 runs (two earned) over five innings, striking out one and walking four. Pitford took the loss for Clark County Varsity Lady Indians. The right-handed pitcher went four innings, allowing 15 runs (six earned) on 11 hits, striking out four and walking two.

Brookfield Varsity LadyDogs tallied 11 hits in the game. Sackrey and Holly Sensenich each collected multiple hits for Brookfield Varsity LadyDogs. Brookfield Varsity LadyDogs Come Up Short Against Montgomery County Varsity Wildcats

Brookfield Varsity LadyDogs lost to Montgomery County Varsity Wildcats 4-1 on Saturday.

Brookfield Varsity LadyDogs got on the board in the first inning after an error scored one run.

In the bottom of the first inning, Montgomery County Varsity Wildcats went back into the lead after Dylan Topel grounded out, and Montgomery County Varsity Wildcats scored on a passed ball, each scoring one run.

Reese Hill earned the win for Montgomery County Varsity Wildcats. The pitcher allowed three hits and one run (zero earned) over seven innings, striking out nine and walking four. Ashlyn Calvert took the loss for Brookfield Varsity LadyDogs. The pitcher went six innings, giving up four runs (one earned) on five hits, striking out two and walking one.

Lily Willis Leads Brookfield Varsity LadyDogs Past Hannibal Varsity Pirates

Lily Willis collected three hits in four at bats, as Brookfield Varsity LadyDogs defeated Hannibal Varsity Pirates 12-3 on Saturday. Willis doubled in the first inning, singled in the fourth inning, and singled in the fifth inning.
