Lady 'Dogs Fall in Thriller

Brookfield gave Trenton all it could handle before succumbing, 25-23, 18-25, 16-25, 19-25, in an exciting varsity volleyball season-opener.
Kasey Perry paced the Lady Bulldogs with 4 kills, while adding 6 digs and 3 assists. She also was a perfect 17-of-17 from the service line with an ace.
Selena Curiel recorded 2 kills, 7 digs and a team-high 4 assists, while Brylie Plagman collected a team-high 8 digs and had 2 blocks. Selena (12 attempts, 2 aces) and Brylie (15 attempts, 1 ace) served at 100% for the 'Dogs, who served at 92.4% as a team. Brylie was also error-free in serve receive.
Kyliah Galloway notched 3 kills, 2 aces, 7 digs and an assist, and Shayne Lumsden added 2 kills, an ace, 5 digs and a block. Emma Meyer had 2 kills and 5 digs; Hailey Eichler had a kill and 2 digs; and Chezni Renshaw had 4 digs.
The JV Lady Dogs fell, 25-12, 25-16.
Andi Przyblyski recorded 5 digs and a block, and Mallory Black added 3 digs and an ace. Rylee White was successful on 7 serves with an ace, and Maddalyn Meyer chipped in an ace.
