Lady Dogs Plaster Panthers

Mya Sackrey and Ashlyn Calvert each cracked two-run doubles, and Greenlee McCollum belted a solo home run, as Brookfield beat Polo, 12-5, in varsity softball action.

The Lady Dogs put the game away with a five-run fifth inning.

McCollum added a single, stolen base and four runs on the day, while Sackrey coaxed three walks and had a single, stolen base and scored two runs, and Calvert had a single and run.

Emree Littrell collected two base hits, two stolen bases and two runs, and Kylin King (SB, run), Lily Willis (RBI, BB, SB) and Austin Lewis had a base hit apiece.

Gracyn Beckman (RBI, HBP) and Emma Sensenich (BB) each scored a run for the Lady Dogs (11-5).

The JV Lady Dogs completed the sweep with a 9-2 victory.

Holly Sensenich led the charge with two hits, three RBI and two runs. Taryn Montgomery also had a pair of hits, including a double, two runs and an RBI.

Piper Thudium (HBP, RBI, run), Remi Berger (BB, RBI), Reese Neal (BB, SB, 2 runs) and Milee McCollum (run) each collected a base hit, and Molly Cross worked a pair of walks and scored a run for the Lady Dogs (8-2-1).
