Brookfield unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 3-1 to Trenton on Tuesday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.
The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 24-26, 25-19, 25-7.
Shayne Lumsden paced Brookfield's offense, picking up four kills. Lumsden got some help from Selena Curiel and her five assists. Emma Meyer controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.
Brookfield will face off against Marshall at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Trenton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Chillicothe at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
