Bright Beginnings Preschool
What are the hours for preschool?
Bright Beginnings Preschool is in session Monday through Thursday each week. Students in the morning session attend from 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., while the afternoon session is from 11:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
BBB follows the same official school calendar as the K-12 buildings, observing the same holidays/no school dates as other district students.
What age does my child need to be to enroll in the preschool program?
Students are eligible to attend Bright Beginnings Preschool if they have reached the age of four (4) before the first day of August of the current school year. Parents of students interested in participating in BBB must also provide proof of legal residency in the district.
How and when do we sign up?
Bright Beginnings Preschool begins accepting names of students who are interested in participating in next year’s preschool program each spring. Parents can complete an online form beginning in March, or can contact the Special Services Office at 660-258-2159 at that time. Preschool staff will follow up with parents who have expressed interest in the program to schedule their child for a screening appointment in April.
After May, families new to the district or who were unable to complete the screening process in April should contact the Special Services office at 660-258-2159 to check if there are openings still available in either preschool session (morning or afternoon).
